all orders are processed and shipped out within 2-4 business days. you will receive a shipping notification as soon as your order is shipped. at this time, customers are responsible for shipping costs. Orders shipped within the United States will be sent through USPS. shipping is calculated at checkout and will be based on the weight of your order and where your order is being shipped to. depending on your location, packages may take up to 5-7 days to be delivered. For international orders, we will use whichever shipping method is best based on where the order is being shipped to. The price for international shipping will also be calculated at checkout. please note you are responsible for any additional taxes or duties through international customs. please also note we are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages - please contact us immediately at hi@consistsof.com if a package is lost, damaged or stolen so we can try our best to help you.
Returns:
if you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return any of our pieces for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, as long as they are unworn and in the exact same condition as when they were sent to you. This refund will be processed back to your original payment method. you also have the option of PROCESSing A return FOR store credit.
Condition:
Please note as all of our pieces are made from already existing materials, there may be inconsistencies in the quality of materials. Some pieces may have light wear, stains, discoloration, holes, texture inconsistencies, etc. All of our materials are thoroughly washed, sanitized and cleaned before we work with them.
care:
the Full care instructions for each of our pieces are written on the product page. product pages for all of our pieces will be left on this website for you to always reference. For the majority of our pieces, we recommend that you wash them by hand as often as possible. This is not only the most environmentally friendly way of caring for our pieces, but it will also help to extend the life of our pieces. We understand hand washing may not be an option for everyone. For machine washing, we recommend washing our pieces in cold water, on a delicate cycle and only with items in similar colors. we recommend using a non-phosphate detergent FOR both machine washing and hand washing. please note while we aim to utilize already existing materials that are made from natural fibers, that is not always possible, SO some OF OUR PIECES are made from MAN-MADE FIBERS. WHEN WASHED, man-made fibers RELEASE MICRO-FIBERS THAT ARE HARMFUL and disruptive TO HUMANS AND the earth. for this reason, we also highly recommend washing our pieces with a guppyfriend washing bag. please also note some of our pieces have hand dyed elements (cyanotype dye, fiber reactive dye like procion mx, and solar fast dye) which have all been treated thoroughly to avoid dye run off, but there is always a possibility of dye runoff.
Measurements:
We try our absolute best to communicate the exact measurements of all of our pieces. Measurements are located on the product page of each piece. As each piece is 1 of 1 and completely unique, the sizes of each piece can vary widely. please feel free to contact us at hi@consistsof.com for any sizing questions.
Do you make custom pieces?:
Yes, Please contact us with your request for custom pieces at hi@consistsof.com! Similarly, if you like any of our pieces that are sold out, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to remake a similar custom piece for you. This also goes for sizing - if you like any of our pieces but don't see anything available in your size, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to make a piece in your size. We always aim to have a multitude of sizes available, but please understand due to the uniqueness of each of our pieces, HOW EACH PIECE IS MADE AND the way WE SOURCE MATERIALS we can't always guarantee there will be a wide range of sizes available for purchase. we also offer the option of making custom pieces for you out of your own pieces - please see our “custom” product page in our shop for more details.
Where do you source your already existing materials?:
the already existing materials we use are primarily made of post-consumer, dead stock materials and products sourced from various places. The following is an ongoing list that will be updated as we update our sourcing: Fabscrap, antiquefabric.com, ebay, Queen of Raw, Udelco Inc Vintage Clothing, and various thrift Stores in the Tri-State area. We hope to build partnerships with companies and organizations who have excess materials, products, etc. Please contact us if you have excess materials you no longer have use for, or if you have information on potential partners/collaborators.
Where do you source your packaging materials?:
all of our packaging materials are sourced from EcoEnclose and are made from post-consumer waste. Please try your best to recycle and/or reuse our packaging materials.
