circular ecosystem

When you acquire a piece from us, you are automatically welcomed into our circular ecosystem. Through this ecosystem, our goal is to take full responsibility throughout the entire life cycle of everything we make. this includes empowering and helping you to take full responsibility with us. our ecosystem enables you to resell our pieces back to us, so we can offer them to someone else and on and on and on so we can keep everything we make in use for as long as possible. we can also help you mend, repair and/or re-use our pieces should you need or want to. You are not obliged to partake in our circular ecosystem, but it is always here for you. we assign a distinctive circular ecosystem id # to everything we make. This id # is located on all of our pieces and will also always be available to view on THIS WEBSITE VIA the product page of each piece. The price for pieces you sell back to us will be calculated at the time of your request. We will consider the current condition of the piece and will also factor in shipping and/or donation fees that may have been included in the price at the initial time of purchase. there are two payment processes to choose from when you resell our pieces back to us: you can either receive money back directly or receive credit. to partake in our circular ecosystem, please email hi@consistsof.com us with your request, order # and/or the circular ecosystem id #.

we hope our circular ecosystem evolves over time into a global platform for exploring and examining consumption, waste, material, fiber, trade, labor, commerce, collaboration, profit, commodification, land, accessibility, mutual aid, ownership, value systems, economic systems and power structures. we are open to offering our pieces for rent and to THE exchanging of goods or services.

we acknowledge that circularity, sustainability and REPURPOSING/re-using ALREADY EXISTING MATERIALS ARE ONLY PARTIAL componentS in addressing the climate crisis and working towards a liberated and livable future. our circularity framework IS INFLUENCED BY THE or foundation’s “justice-led circularity”, which focuses on how fashion’s waste is caused by compounded exploitation and prioritizes the prosperity of those who have carried the burden of this exploitation for too long. for more information on the or foundation, please visit theor.org

we acknowledge that the climate crisis is a struggle for the survival of humanity and that the people who contribute the least to it are bearing the brunt of it. we acknowledge that the climate crisis is connected to other crises of our time (health, health care, housing, FOOD, education and OVERARCHING inequalities and INJUSTICEs ACROSS SPECTRUMS OF class, RACE, ethnicity, GENDER and DISABILITY). we acknowledge that all exploitative, extractive, oppressive, disconnected and imbalanced systems and paradigms ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE CRISES. we understand the importance of worker rights, equity, fair pay and FAIR TRADE. we incorporate fair pay for the labor it takes to produce everything we do and make. as we evolve and grow, we hope to explore a worker cooperative model and carbon neutrality.
